Can Using the Real Age Calculator Help You Attract Clients?

I am a great fan of the work done by Michael Rozien, MD and Mehmet Oz, MD in developing the "Real Age" concept. You may have seen these gentleman on Oprah. I feel every post rehab professional should incorporate the real age concept into the exercise/wellness program for your clients. The "Real Age" calculation of physical age versus chronological age is as great concept that can be easily incorporated into your facility's and your practice's marketing plan. Everyone wants to look and feel young. Real age makes the sale of fitness services very easy. Check out the Real Age calculator at www.RealAge.com. Ask you clients to take this test during their first session and then layout of plan for them to get "younger". I think you might be surprised how much "youth" and not fitness is the real key to selling fitness.

Presidential Candidates Might Make "Wellness" a National Concept

For the first time in US history we candidates vying for the two major party nominations that have made health care prevention a part of their health care platform. With all eyes on the presidential race the use of "prevention" will hopefully galvanize more American companies and citizens to move away from the traditional health care paradigm and begin to embrace exercise and wellness as their insurance policy for their senior years. Can you imagine the day when apples replace snickers in vending machines? Please respond and share the latest wellness initiatives you have noticed in your community, facility or practice.

Attracting Post Rehab Clients Using Presentations

Successful post rehab professionals (PRP's) report the most effective means of attracting clients and referrals is by far due to speaking to community groups. Making a presentation to the local business leaders group or introducing your services to a local physical therapy or chiropractic office is one of best marketing efforts you can employ. Local community groups are always looking for speakers for their meetings. A brief but engaging fitness presentation is a perfect opportunity to cultivate new referrals. A presentation setting out the "7 Reasons Most People Don't Stick to Their Fitness Program" might turn some heads at the monthly breakfast meeting of the local Rotary club. Include a couple simple desk exercises or give everyone a piece of theraband and demonstrate a couple of exercises they can perform in their hotel room will certainly keep the attendees attention. They all won't sign up for a 20 session package tomorrow but enough of these presentations will establish you as the "fitness and post rehab expert" on your community. Presentations to local medical support groups such as the "Parkinson's support group" will further your standing as the post rehab expert. Please share your experiences attracting clients with presentations by responding to this posting.
